Weathering by water potentially causes washed out tile joints between the tiles in the chimney, causing fire to seep into unwanted areas that could reek havoc. Damage from acts of nature can range anywhere from lighting strikes, chimney fires, or rapid heating of the liner, which is historically caused by lighting fires with paper or lighter fluid. Chimney Sweep 

Atlanta Chimney Works technicians, using rotary brushes and extendable rods, will remove creosote that has built up in the flue and will clean the firebox using a HEPA vacuum cleaner to prevent any ash or dust getting into the house during the cleaning.

Our service starts with an initial inspection of the chimney, flue, smoke chamber, shelf, and firebox.

Gas line will be tested to discover leaks.

Next step will be the chimney sweep. We access the fireplace from inside the house and run the brushes up the chimney all the way to the top. Then we change the direction of the rotor brush and run the brushes back down in to the fireplace so we can make sure we eliminate any build up that might still be in the flue. We repeat this process as needed.

The resulting debris will be vacuumed, swept and removed from your home.

Finalizing the chimney sweep is a post inspection of the chimney.
